Thinking about checking out the new 2026 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD? This powerhouse of a pickup is the go-to choice for many industrious individuals who need commercial-grade abilities and a brand they can trust.

Chevy is known for its trucks. You can usually spot a few anywhere that power tools are buzzing and cement mixers are mixing. This classic American Brand simply understands what pickup drivers need and want from the body style.

Today, a heavy-duty truck driver looks for both solid capabilities (like high payload and towing figures) as well as modern technology. Professionals in all industries rely on technology to help them with administrative tasks, to get them to and from job sites, and to generally monitor and command their trucks and trailers.

If cutting-edge technology is a priority for you, the Silverado 3500 HD won’t disappoint. Today, we are looking at just a few of our favorite tech features of the 2026 model. We will be covering built-in Google, the in-vehicle trailering app, and the many available camera reviews. Between these features, a long workday will feel more manageable.

Built-in Google for On-The-Go Navigation, Entertainment, and Information

Let’s start with Google built-in. Having this available feature in your truck will make you feel like you have a virtual assistant.

If you frequently travel to new job sites and to meet with prospective clients, you might be navigating your way to new destinations every day. And if you have a busy schedule, you don’t have time to get lost or stuck in traffic.

Google Maps will help streamline your drives. It will pull up directions, as well as provide alternative routes when it senses traffic building up. With Google Maps, you can always make sure that you find that next client meeting or job site. Plus, it provides suggested stops along the way with business reviews. So you’ll always know the best place to grab coffee between meetings.

Google Assistant is ready to provide you with the information you need on the go. You can ask all sorts of questions and stay informed. Google Assistant can check this weekend’s weather for you, letting you know whether or not you can continue that outdoor project or plan that camping trip. You can ask it about road closures, new stories, and so much more.

Finally, Google Play is a nice feature to have if you spend a lot of time behind the wheel. Use it to listen to the audio media that keeps you company, keeps you entertained, or keeps you informed. You can play your music, podcasts, and audiobooks from this popular app.

An In-Vehicle Trailering App for More Vehicle and Vessel Command

The in-vehicle trailer app is a highly popular feature of the Silverado HD series. Many drivers turn to the Silverado HD because of its impressive towing powers. But the bigger your trailer, the more there is to command and keep an eye on.

The vehicle trailering app makes it easy to monitor your trailers. You can even create a custom profile for each of the vessels you regularly transport. Set up maintenance reminders, so you never fall behind on routine care.

You can also create pre-departure checklists. So you’ll never hit the road without remembering to check on your trailer lights, tire pressure, or other important features. Speaking of tire pressure, part of the trailer app monitors your tire pressure and temperature. So you’ll know if you’re at risk of a flat soon, have low air, or need new tires.

If you transport valuables, the trailer theft alert is an important feature. It will send a notification to your phone when the harness of your trailer is disconnected while your truck is parked. We know that driving with a giant trailer behind your truck can feel like driving with a target on your truck. Luckily, with the theft alert, you’ll know the moment someone tries to take your vessel.

14 Available Camera Views to Keep You Informed

Finally, let’s look at the generous number of camera views in the Silverado 3500 HD. It would be nearly impossible to monitor a truck this large, with a trailer attached to it, using just the human eye. Luckily, you don’t have to because Chevy has given this truck dynamic camera views that show you what’s happening in and around your truck and trailer at all times.

We won’t go over the 14 views, but we will cover some of our favorites. A Hitch View gives you a close-up view of your hitch, making easy work of aligning your truck to your trailer. So you can stop hopping out of your cab, visually inspecting the alignment, and making multiple adjustments until you get it right.

Transparent Trailer View lets you see right through your trailer, as if it were not even there. So you can continue to use your rearview camera, unobstructed by your trailer.

A Bed View lets you keep an eye on your bed’s contents. Not quite sure if you tied down those materials securely enough? Check out the Bed View and make sure your bed contents are in place. You can even use Inside Trailer View to peek inside your trailer. Chauffeuring livestock around? Make sure they have what they need by looking inside the trailer, via the camera.

The Rear Camera Mirror also turns your rearview mirror into an additional display screen for your Rear View Camera. This makes it easier to see around your truck when your bed or cab is overloaded.

Front and Rear Underbody Views are great for challenging job sites and off-road environments. They can show you what’s happening beneath your truck, as if from your tires’ point of view. So you’ll know if you’re rolling over particularly turbulent terrain and need to proceed with caution.
