There are five trims for the 2024 Chevy Trax, including the LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and the ACTIV, which is three more trims than the year before. The LS is the base trim for the 2024 Chevy Trax, and it starts at an MSRP of $20,400. The LS not only exceeds first impressions but continues to impress the further you look into its feature set and base-level performance.

Running the show is a turbocharged 1.2L I-3 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Exterior dimensions reveal identical measurements across the board, barring one exception: the LS and 1RS are ever-so-slightly shorter, with a height of 61.42 inches to 61.7 inches on every other trim. However, every Trax model is 71.8 inches wide (without mirrors) and 178.6 inches long, along with front and rear track widths of 61.5 and 62.13 inches, respectively. The amount of ground clearance each trim has is a minimum of 7.3 inches, and every trim, such as the LS, has a wheelbase of 106 inches; the LS also comes with 17-inch steel wheels.
As for the features that come standard with the LS, it’s incredibly impressive for a base trim—even more so considering the 2024 Trax’s price range. The 1RS also replaces the 17-inch wheels from the LS and replaces them with 18-inch wheels complete with a two-tone design. As we mentioned, the upgrades the 2024 Trax 1RS brings over the LS also include mechanical functions. What do we mean by this? For starters, the 1RS comes standard with the LS Convenience Package, which is optional for the LS. The LS Convenience Package that comes with the 1RS includes features like heated front-row seats, carpeted floor mats for the back row, heated power-adjustable outside mirrors that match the color of your exterior, and a remote start system to top it all off. Not to mention, a heated steering wheel comes with the 1RS and not the LS.

LT
The LT is the second and only other trim carrying over from the last generation Trax models, the LS is the other. The LT’s purpose remains the same, and that’s to provide a legitimate upgrade over the LS for an MSRP of $22,300. How does the 2024 Trax LT compare to the LS and the freshly arrived 1RS? There are multiple ways the LT begins to feel like a more premium model. Although performance is identical to the preceding trims in the list, the interior has a more modern design philosophy, most notably from a technological standpoint. Allow us to explain.
When you sit in the driver’s seat of a 2024 Trax, it’s a fantastic experience no matter how you slice it. However, in the LT, you’ll immediately notice a few upgrades if you recently sat in one of the lower-tier trims; even looking at pictures does it justice. The differences we’re speaking of include a larger and more luxuriously sized infotainment center that measures 11 inches diagonally as opposed to the 8-inch screen in the previous two trims we’ve mentioned. However, that’s not all: the LT also replaces traditional gauges with a digital and sleek array courtesy of a high-quality 8-inch Driver Information Center located behind your steering wheel.
Buying the LT also means you can opt for the LT Convenience Package. The LT Convenience Package has more of a focus on luxury, with four stand-out features including heated front-row seats, a heated steering wheel wrapped in genuine leather, a keyless open system so that your car unlocks if you have the fob on you, and heated power-adjustable outside mirrors, mimicking some of the best features from the LS Convenience Package.
2RS
The 2RS is the natural extension of the 1RS, including the 1RS feature set with a few other enhancements. The 2RS also has some of the best LT features carried over, like the 11-inch infotainment center and the 8-inch Driver Information Center. The 2RS starts at an MSRP of $23,900 and has a few tech upgrades over the 1RS, including additional USB ports with a focus on power delivery for charging your devices, which is shared with the LT, along with the availability of features like Adaptive Cruise Control to go along with the standard Following Distance Indicator.
The 2RS has Evotex seating, which isn’t even available with the LT. For those unaware, Evotex is a synthetic leather material that looks the part but is easier to clean, and less costly than genuine leather. Also upgraded over the 1RS are 19-inch tires instead of the 18-inch set in other trims. These tires are all-season, so they’re built for various types of climates. Another small yet welcomed addition to the 2RS is a standard front passenger seatback map pocket, which is helpful for the occasional long trip. The 2RS, like the LT, also allows for the inclusion of a wireless charging pad for your phone.
ACTIV
The ACTIV is a trim that also starts at an MSRP of $23,900, like the 2RS; however, there are some differences. For example, the Activ comes with 18-inch wheels with a distinct black grille embedded with chrome accents to create a grille exclusive to the Activ that’s unlike anything you can get with the other trims.
